Cultivating a cohesive South San Diego community feel, Epoca’s temporary and permanent parks are an essential part of the Otay Mesa master-planned development.
From parks and playgrounds to interwoven walking trails, residents will experience the essence of Epoca at every turn, evoking a feeling of comfort and constancy. Simple bold shapes, an earthy color palette and a rustic-modern design vibe foster a strong sense of place. The center of Epoca community life while other amenities are being built, our temporary park offers a number of conveniences, such as:
- Multi-purpose lawn that serves as the go-to gathering place for residents, inspiring social interaction and neighborhood meet ups
- Dynamic events space offering fun community happenings from Epoca's annual outdoor summer concert to a family-friendly movie in the park
- Picnic area perfect for running around with the kids, snoozing beneath a leafy tree or enjoying an impromptu dinner under the stars
- Children’s playground with a mix of swinging, sliding, climbing and sensory play activities
Future Epoca Neighborhood Park
Play it cool and make it epic at the future Epoca Neighborhood Park spanning 3 acres and poised to become the hub of Epoca community life. Located just north of our Willow townhome neighborhood, Epoca Neighborhood Park offerings are subject to city approvals and may include:
- Walking paths
- Children’s playground and picnic pavilion
- Sports courts
- Dedicated event lawn
- Olive grove and shaded seating
Future Martinez Neighborhood Park
At Epoca’s future Martinez Neighborhood Park, situated at the southwestern corner of the Otay Mesa community, residents will enjoy 3½ acres of dynamic fun. Park features are subject to city approvals and may showcase:
- Children’s playground and picnic shelter
- BBQ and picnic spaces
- Sports courts
- Ball fields
- Dog park
- Fitness stations
